In this dark comedy coming out in the middle of the month, Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke—two of Netflix’s current golden girls from Riverdale and Stranger Things—make a strong combo. The story centers on Drea (Camila), played by Camila, and Eleanor (Maya), played by Maya, as the two embark on a mission to exact revenge on those who have mistreated them. This is done in response to a string of reprehensible acts committed by their peers. Do Revenge is a narrative of female allyship via a Gen Z lens that fits halfway between Heathers and Mean Girls, with a leaked private video and a summer camp bully who needs to be put in her place.

With assistance from Gossip Girl music supervisor Rob Lowry and the eldest Haim sister, Este Haim, the film, which was directed by Someone Great writer Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and her colleague Celeste Ballard, is expected to have a terrific soundtrack. Love it!

The world-famous 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue will be available on Netflix on September 22. It is a moving, inspiring, and heartbreaking story.

The narrative is based on the true experience of twelve boys and their football coach who were stranded in a cave in Northern Thailand in 2018 after it flooded due to an unexpected monsoon. As TV crews from all around the world documented the incredible two weeks that the boys were imprisoned in limestone caves near Chiang Rai, the event led to an international rescue operation. Six episodes of the series, which was exclusively filmed in Thailand by a global team of filmmakers, tell the boys’ and their families’ lives in detail.

Co-director Baz Poonpiriya declares, “I am really proud to have this opportunity to reveal the story behind the faces and identities we have come to know and love over the course of this world-famous rescue mission. Be ready to experience nonstop suspense from beginning to end.”

The 23rd of September will see the Netflix release of Blonde, a fictionalized account of Marilyn Monroe’s life in the 1950s and 1960s. Blonde is an adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ 2000 book of the same name. The movie offers a glimpse inside the world of the pop culture figure who defined blonde for far too long by following Monroe from her horrific early life to her relocation to Hollywood, as well as the glamour, exploitation, and trials that came with it all.

The eagerly awaited biography, which is helmed by Andrew Dominik and stars Ana de Armas from No Time To Die, is sure to go down in history. Blonde is centered on Marilyn’s life and work, similar to the book it is based on, but the plot is regarded as a “reimagining,” adding more imagination and fancy for that extra touch of spice. In addition to being spicy, the movie should not be watched on your way home because it has an 18+ classification and apparently violent sex scenes.

The genre sounds disgusting, but I’ll press play anyhow. Get your minds out of the gutter, guys. This isn’t like that, but Netflix’s new reality series is a twist on the classic dating show that features brothers this time. 16 single candidates, all of whom are sibling pairings, enter a villa in the South of France for the show before going on a number of dates in front of their siblings and sisters. It’s a specialized idea, but someone has to carry it out…

The show’s name is meant to be controversial, but since Love Island ended at the start of the month, there is room for a dating program that isn’t afraid to upend social norms and cause some trending tweets. We are prepared for drama.
