1. Pick a Cleanser  Carefully

Lines and wrinkles may become more pronounced with continued use of a harsh cleanser since it removes the skin’s natural oils and causes dryness. Learn more about what features to look for in a facial cleanser by reading on.

2. Make sure to moisturize your hands often

Moisturize your hands often, since this is one of the best ways to protect them from the harsh winter air. Damage to your skin, such as dryness and cracking, can be exacerbated by the cold. To maintain your hands in tip-top shape and to prevent damage from the weather, always use a good hand moisturizer.

Apply a thick cream or ointment generously several times a day. When venturing outside, it’s also a good idea to wear gloves for further skin protection.

3. Get Some Shade If You’re Going Outside

Even though the sun may not shine as brightly in the winter, damaging UV rays are still there. Protecting your skin from harsh winter elements is essential, so use a safe sunscreen, such as one containing zinc oxide, and always wear a helmet and warm clothes.

4. Curb Your Bathing Time

Hot water may be soothing in the winter, but it actually causes the skin to lose its natural oils. You should take long, hot showers or baths just once or twice a week, and opt for lukewarm water the rest of the time.

5. Apply Sunscreen

Changing how you care for your skin in the winter is necessary because of the temperature drop and dry air increase. Sunscreen is an essential step that shouldn’t be skipped. Premature aging and solar damage can occur even in the winter when the sun’s rays aren’t as intense.

Try to choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Use it on your face, neck, hands, and anywhere else you have exposed skin.

6. Massage of the Face

A face massage might be a great method to take care of your skin during winter. Doing so can increase blood flow to the face and facilitate the removal of excess fluids.

One of the many advantages of face massage is that it helps get rid of those summertime creases and fine lines. Massage the face gently, paying special attention to any sensitive areas.

7. Eat Healthfully

Acne is worsened by the responses simple sugars and carbs cause in the skin. If you can avoid doing these things on a regular basis, you’ll have less trouble handling the occasional holiday excess.

8. If you want soft, kissable lips, try a sugar scrub.

Dry, cracked lips are an unfortunate side effect of winter. Create your own sugar scrub to eliminate dry, flaky skin. Once a day, combine equal parts of ordinary sugar with jojoba, coconut, or safflower oil and apply over lips. Honey’s therapeutic powers can be enhanced by adding just a little. Put on some lip balm afterward to moisturize your lips.
